Charter Celebrations

Less formal but just as much fun!

This year as we celebrated our 41st Charter Anniversary we moved away from the formal Evening Dinner, or Lunch, and thoroughly enjoyed a traditional Afternoon Tea on Sunday 21st of September at Garstang Golf and Country Club.

Just like the days of its invention, women gathered together to enjoy special food and chat!

A lovely relaxing time in our busy year.

BACK PACK – UPDATE

Not all our members spent their summer break with cup of tea and feet up!

One of our members who co-ordinates and packs up the back packs ready for shipping, spent her time filling and preparing FORTY back packs.

With the help of local schools, charity shops, and the readers of Focus we are able to continue with this work, many, many, thanks to all those who help us.

I wonder if any of you saw the TV quiz show Egg Heads on the 3rd of September when a team of Northwest Soroptimists beat the Egg Heads and won £9,000 for charity!

Soroptimists work to improve the lives of women and girls at local, national and international level.

We believe that any women may come along and contribute to our goal – could this be you?

Next month I will be chatting about our 80th Federation Conference to be held in Harrogate in November.

Why not come and meet us, you will be most welcome.
