The Garstang club send our best wishes to a new club chartered four weeks ago in Northallerton North Yorkshire.

September - a busy month for the Garstang club, on Saturday September the 6th we will be joining other regional members for a six mile charity fund raising walk in the Ribble Valley and on Thursday the 18th, we will be enjoying a Fashion Show at the Crofters Hotel Garstang, to add to the monies raised from the walk.

The 10th is our September Business meeting.

Sunday 21st is one of the highlights of our year as we celebrate our 41st Charter anniversary at the Garstang Golf & Country Club.

The 24th is our social meeting where we plan to have fun getting involved in the “Innocent Big Knit” – much chatting and clicking of needles!

The makers of Innocent Smoothie Drinks working with Age UK plan to help thousands of older people across the UK keep warm and healthy during the chilly winter months ahead.

The idea is that you knit a little hat to put on a bottle of Innocent smoothie drink, a million of these will go on sale in November, for every ‘hatted’ bottle sold 25p will go to Age UK.

You can be as creative as you like or just knit a basic one, for patterns and instructions just type ‘The Innocent Big Knit’ into your internet search box!

For every hat shared on Facebook or Twitter an extra 10p is donated to Age UK.

Why not come and join us for this fun evening held at the Crofters Hotel A6 7.30pm, all you need is some double knitting wool and a pair of size 8 (4mm) needles, you will only be working on 28 stitches! We will even lend you one of our nifty little bobble makers!
